This year's Annual Scottish Allotments Conference and AGM will be held in the Victoria Halls, Dunblane on Saturday June 17. The conference will be introduced by our President, Ian Welsh who will talk about the Society’s activities this past year.

The rest of the morning will be devoted to practical issues of Growing Your Own. There will be presentations from George Anderson (Beechgrove Garden), Andrew Lear (AppleTreeMan) and Margaret Lear (Plants with a Purpose). The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

There will be an excellent sandwich lunch and the break will be a good opportunity for networking and talking to the representatives of organisations at their stalls.

Phill Gomersall, president of the National Allotment Society (the UK wide organisation to which we are affiliated) will then talk about the wider UK picture. We will then have some presentations from people with real experience of starting up, managing and saving allotment sites in the new political environment.

The conference will end with a selection of workshops. A full programme can be downloaded from the link in the left hand margin. All plotholders are cordially invited to attend the AGM which will be held after the conference has ended.

Attendance at the conference is free and open to all interested in allotments. However for catering purposes it would be helpful if people would register in advance.
